Excerpt: Assisted by Messrs. Ivan Bartlett, Joseph Sutter and Jean D. Swiggett, Norman Chamberlain completed all-over murals for the public lobby of the Huntington Park Post Office. His subject matter is the history of California. It shows scenes of "Indians" and "Friars," "Pioneers," "Train in the '90s," "Modern Industry," "Air Service," "Shipping," "Instruction" and decorative and symbolical figures. The works was carried out in part under the Section of Painting and Sculpture and in part under the Treasury Relief Art Project.
