- CZ: Václav Melichar (* 8. září 1885 Domašín u Dobrušky – 26. ledna 1973 Praha) byl příslušníkem československých legií na Rusi a po skončení první světové války vykonával povolání středoškolského profesora a ředitele gymnázia. Byl autorem několika publikací (a učebnic) věnujících se problematice slovanstva, SSSR a ruštiny. Znám je svojí téměř čtyřsetstránkovou publikací (vyšla v roce 1930) o smyslu a cílech praktického i teoretického působení prezidenta T. G. Masaryka.
- EN: Václav Melichar (* 8 September 1885 in Domašín near Dobruška - 26 January 1973 in Prague) was a member of the Czechoslovak legions in Russia and after the end of the First World War he worked as a high school professor and headmaster of a grammar school. He was the author of several publications (and textbooks) dealing with Slavic, USSR and Russian language issues. He is best known for his nearly four-hundred-page publication (published in 1930) on the meaning and aims of the practical and theoretical work of President T. G. Masaryk.
