English: Constructed according to some sources, around 1796 under King Anourouth, it took its present name during its restoration under King Manthatourat (1817-1836). The guilded wall reliefs represent the legend of Pha Vet, or Vessantara, the penultimate reincarnation of the Buddha among rural scenes.
