English: In endurance riding, veterinary controls are carried out during and after the race after mandatory breaks. If the horse has not recovered to a specific heart rate, has a limp, or expresses signs of dehydration or injury, it is disqualified and may not continue. There may be one or more vet controls during the race depending on the length of the course, and the final vet control after the horse has finished is always carried out.
