Why this is called 'Canon 135 film SLR cameras' and not 'Canon 35 film SLR cameras'?[edit]

I am coming from Germany. We talk about 35mm film and never about 135mm film. Is this a Bug? Should the lemma be changed? If 135 is correct, is there a explanation? --GodeNehler (talk) 07:33, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

135 film (but of course not "135 mm film") is the name for the type of roll film cartridge with a film gauge of 35 mm. So, "135" is the term for the whole cartridge and "35 mm" for the film only. The cameras in this category use 135 cartridges, so I think that is the accurate term. ––Apalsola tc 14:25, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
