Photographs of the skull found at the Siegelhain clay pits (Tongruben Siegelhain)[edit]

Based on the number of supraorbital/frontal foramina (1) and antorbital/lacrimal foramina (1) and on the lack of a preorbital vacuity I have identified the skull as not belonging to deer, but to sheep. Hence, I have transferred all these photographs to the category Ovis skulls. --Gretarsson (talk) 09:04, 15 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Update: I was correct in identifying the skull as a bovid skull, however I didn’t took the relatively long and flat “parietal” portion into account, which clearly shows that it belongs to cow, not to sheep (Thanx to the IP who noticed that!). Hence, the pictures are now in the category Cattle skulls... --Gretarsson (talk) 02:25, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
