Colleague Jmarchn, coudn't you explain goal of the word "Chordate"? As far as I know, pineal glands are always chordate. Sneeuwschaap (talk) 19:28, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Sneeuwschaap: !. Of couse, you are right: pineal glands are always in chordate. I use "Chordate" to distinguish the current category content (Category:Chordate pineal gland) of Category:Human pineal gland. As you know:
  1. A human belongs to the chordate group.
  2. The Commons categorization uses the distinction between "chordate" (or, more frequently and less selectively, "animals") from "humans" (as opposed to Wikipedia due to a higher number of files compared to number of articles). This allows you to find faster a required file by browsing in the category tree.
