I don't get the "in application" naming of the subcats here. To me, that implies pictures of people applying makeup, but most the pictures are just people with makeup on. What's the significance of the phrase "in application"? - dcljr (talk) 13:50, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

hello, it was created to distinguish the product in its bottle/box/whatever form the product in use. Might not be the most perfect name but I have not found another. Do you have a better proposal? regards Catfisheye (talk)
Hmm. How about just leaving all the images of women wearing makeup X in the basic "Category:X" (e.g., Category:Lipstick), and only separating the images that aren't women wearing X (say, "Children wearing X", or "X containers" [or, as you have already created, "X (product)"] into other categories. The reason is a practical one: I think far more images of women wearing makeup will end up in the various cosmetics categories than anything else, so they should probably just be left in the simplest-titled categories. I don't feel very strongly about those issues. I just think "X in application" is not understandable enough, even for a native English speaker like me. I'll try to come up with something better... - dcljr (talk) 16:37, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
