Demolition vantages[edit]

Where is the best place to view the demolition of the bridge??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by WGMuller (talk • contribs) 14:50, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am unsure; having seen no notice of an official location. Perhaps locations will be announced closer to the event. You can use the location map of existing photos as a guide.
To me, the pictures suggest several locations on the right bank upstream, such as the parking lot at 43rd Street. Whether the owner of that parking lot will treat the event as an opportunity or a threat, I have no idea. I intend to arrive early on my bike and scout the locations. If right bank places are very crowded or otherwise difficult, I can pedal around to the left bank. Thomas Street might be wonderful, if not closed. Meeker Avenue will almost certainly be open, though the view is not good. Traffic jams might hamper mobility by those with four wheels, and distances will similarly handicap those without wheels.
