This mosque is built in 1072 by Shaddadids. Ani was not under control of Seljuq Empire at that time. How can they build such a mosque if they are not there?--Gomada (talk) 18:21, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
Comment According to this picture, the first mosque which built in Anatolia in 1072 by Seljuk Turks. Do you have any reliable sources which support your claim ? Takabeg (talk) 03:45, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
- That signboard is made by turkish governors and according to theory of this idea (official turkish government's idea), Kurds were named as mountians Turks more than 80 years. The nationalist turks want to use Ani as a national smybol. Read 1, 2. Therefore, that picture doesnt prove anything.--Gomada (talk) 17:20, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

- There can be always discusions. Thats normal and in your source is written that, the mosque was built by Shaddadids. If you want more sources, here is the official website of turkish government and another source. None of them says that, the mosque built by Seljuq Turks. If the Seljuks built; why its named Manuchehr Mosque, the name of Shaddadi ruler?--Gomada (talk) 17:20, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
- In fact, there are at least three theory. One of the rulers name of Shaddadid dynasty was Minuchehr. This mosque's name is Minushehr. It's right. But this coincidence cannot prove that the builder was also Minuchehr. Possibly Minuchehr of Shaddadid got this mosque from other rulers. I can accept diversity, multiplicity, varieties, because I'm neither nationalist nor ethnocentrist. Thank you. Takabeg (talk) 13:53, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

- The official turkish website (I don't know whether it is neutral source or not) doesn't say that Shaddadids built the mosque, it says Shaddadids built the minaret of Minuchehr (Manuçehr minaresi). Takabeg (talk) 14:05, 11 February 2013 (UTC)

- This building that the sign calls Menucehr Mosque is actually something of a mystery. Believed to date from the year 1072, eight years after the Selcuk conquest, it seems nevertheless to have originally been an Armenian work, not a church, but perhaps... We should believe in you or to real inscriptions? I see your purpose, you started with Seljuks, but you understood that it doesnt belong to Seljuks and now you try to find other theories. - the Seljuks built the MOSQUE OF MENUCHER, which shows clearly how much they were influenced by the Armenian style (Carole Stewart, Chris Stewart, Essentially Turkey, Hippocrene Books, 1987, p. 170.)
