OSS work on Japan was developing targets for bombing.
[edit]I worked for the OSS statistical office in the summer of 1944. My recollection is that the head of the unit was David Cohen. I was between my junior and senior years at college. My job was to identify the locations of the components of military equipment. I was to locate the plants that provided the elements of canons, of tractors, of trains that carried the components, of artillery. the objective was to stop the bombs from being made. the data came from the Dept. of State, and various past Japanese data/ 50.235.220.246 14:41, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
