The category Category:Railway water tanks and towers in the United Kingdom has just be renamed to Category:Railway water cranes and towers in the United Kingdom as requested by User:Lamberhurst. The given reason was: 'Use UK terminology'. I personally think that a water crane is not the same thing as a water tank. Thus I believe that this renaming activity went bizarrely wrong. Do you agree? --NearEMPTiness (talk) 00:12, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct; they are not the same. The idea was to put water cranes with water towers in the same category, while eliminating "water tanks". Water tanks are found on locomotives in the UK (and in the lofts of houses) and are not the structures used by locomotives to replenish water. Lamberhurst (talk) 12:09, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
