I think "The Birds of Asia (illustrations by John Gould)" would be the best name for this category. Snowmanradio (talk) 10:59, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think Gould was the author or primary author, and he or his studio created all or most of the illustrations. I'd suggest giving the category a name for the whole book. —innotata 20:56, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
What would be that name? Snowmanradio (talk) 10:57, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"The Birds of Asia (Gould)" or something like that (Gould was the author, the dates could be appropriate). Not all the illustrations were by Gould: Shyamal tagged File:PasserAmmodendriGould.jpg as possibly being by Henry Richter. —innotata 23:51, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose Commons emerging de facto standard for books is <title> by <author>. That works for all books, movies, songs, plays, paintings, sculptures ... --Foroa (talk) 17:58, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
How is it the emerging standard? Is this just your decision—you haven't given any discussions. I prefer the title with disambiguation (this is the standard on other projects, especially in English) but I certainly don't think this should be changed to a single standard without a discussion. —innotata 18:00, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
