Commons:Requests and votes/BrockF5
Currently, I'm one of the Administrator of Chinese Wikipedia, and Photo Volunteer of Wikimania 2007. Earlier, I imported "Transfer Images to Wikimedia Commons" Project and "Moving Free Images to Commons" Project from English WP and Japanese WP to Chinese WP for a guideline of transferring free images from Chinese WP, English WP to Commons. I'll help Chinese users about uploading, file name cleanup (like renaming from Chinese to English), and help translating some Commons project page to Chinese. I can also speak intermediate level of English, for questions, anyone may contact with my Talk Page. Rico Shen contact... 14:15, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose I see little to no interaction with the Commons community. What is very saddening is that there is a severe lack of Commons namespace edits, along with the fact that I don't see how this user adequately understands copyright. I suggest that you patrol newimages, review flickr images, and participate in discussions at the Village Pump. I see some greatness, but this nomination is premature, and that Commons is not Wikipedia. I'd like to see some reasons why the supporters support this candidate. - Oppose - Per comments above. I see loads of image uploads but no real demonstration that you have done any admin-style tasks like patrolling new images. Adambro 19:14, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose:
- Insufficient admin-style activity at Commons,
- Inadequately understands copyright,
- Little to no interaction with the Chinese Wikipedia community also,
- I really don't have confidence in this user as an admin.--SEEDER 00:41, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

- Comment Commons does need more admins that speak languages other than English. Please don't be discouraged by these opposes... instead, spend some time doing some of the things suggested, participating in discussions, doing some of the many tasks that need doing, and in general getting to know this community better and giving them a chance to know you better too, and then try again in a little while. We have many admins here who did not succeed on their first try. Hope that helps. ++Lar: t/c 23:18, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose He do have no idea of the copyright on wiki Commons, let alone the COM:DW and the COM:FOP. Commons is different from Wikipedia, what we need is a admin who know what is happening, but not a image transfer. Chanueting 10:06, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

- Comment please check following records,
You added the trusted user userbox onto your user page and have done some flickrreviews. I wanted to let you know that you have to apply for trusted user status here and I would therefore request that you stop flickr reviewing and remove the userbox from your user page until you're approved as a trusted user.

I have noticed that you have replaced chemical structures on Wikipedia that exist as guideline- compliant high-resolution PNG files with transparent background with low-quality and/or wrong SVG images (e.g. Image:Dimethyltryptamine.svg vs. Image:DMT.png). Such changes should be discussed first on the Wikipedia WikiProject Chemistry structure drawing guidelines. If you have no experience with chemical structures (or any other type of diagram) please refrain from such changes.
Please check your contributions for similar changes and consider to revert them.
Additionally, you have changed an image on my user page, which, in general, is not a good idea, just drop the users a note on their talk page. Cacycle 15:21, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose Most of those supporters are users from Chinese Wikipedia, I believe they are here only to cast vote support anyone from our project without even review what he has done on commons. This is a general symptom for many people from Chinese Wikipedia, and we shouldn't let it happen here. Lecter 18:35, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

- Neutral Seems the WikiProject move to Commons does not require the sysop rights on commons. And every registered users can upload the images on commons. I think that the user may need more interaction between the community, also patrolling more new images are also helpful for commons. Shinjiman 07:09, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose, sorry. Although I am a user from Chinese Wikipedia, I cannot support you. Since you have not enough interaction in commons and I fully agree with Shinjiman.--J.Wong 13:19, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Oppose with vote closed without appointment for 7 supports versus 8 oppositions. Your Commons namespace edits have yet to improve. I cannot yet support you even though I administer four Chinese Wiki sites.--Jusjih 15:54, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
