- Info One of the landmarks of Kolkata and West Bengal, two colonial era buildings on Lal Dighi Lake. 19th century meets 20th century. Kolkata, India. All by -- Argenberg (talk) 22:23, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- Support The view may be simple, but I like the simplicity and serenity of it, the architecture, the tropical foliage, and the symmetry of the reflections on the lake. The afternoon light after the rain is not vibrant but soothing, solemn, and seems to work as a contrast/counterbalance in flamboyant tropical wet climate. --Argenberg (talk) 22:23, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

- Weak oppose Interesting reflection but awkward light, sorry. We have the shadowy sides in front, the trees all in the shadow... Moreover, the sky is a bit gray -- Basile Morin (talk) 15:00, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- I like how they stay in the shadows, giving a sense of calm. The ones on the right seem to be slightly lit. The feeling of ‘awkwardness’ may come from a mix of humidity, the break between afternoon showers, and chronic air pollution in Kolkata. There is a hint of tension in the sky, but for me the net effect is positive, i.e. not uneasy, but kind of contemplative. --Argenberg (talk) 17:40, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Nothing of considerable quality. Wolverine XI 17:11, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose I agree with your introduction, Argenberg, pleasent, good compo,...but not extraordinary. I will only support for FP if at least one of these fields is extraordinary (and the others at least very good): the subject/compo, the lighting, the detail. And in this case unfortunately I cannot see any of those areas in the extraordinary area Poco a poco (talk) 11:32, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- I take your point. Your explanation sounds reasonable. For me, these two buildings, one from the late 19th century, the other from the middle 20th century, the way they stand and face each other on the lake in a tropical setting, is a little sensational or slightly extraordinary. Now I understand it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. No problem. --Argenberg (talk) 18:18, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose Nice reflection, average lighting. --Thi (talk) 12:15, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
