Image:Beheadingchina1.jpg[edit]

Short description

  •  Info Japanese executioner prepares to behead a condemned Chinese man kneeling before his own grave, Tientsin China. (probably during the Boxer Rebellion). A dramatic moment even after 107 years. What really makes this work for me is the fellow at right leaning to get a better view. Good historic photographs on non-Western subjects are rare at Commons. I hope those factors outweigh the soft focus.
