This page exists to document the various map data pages that have been created for aspects of Sydney public transport. Note that at the time of writing (June 2017) it is impossible to categorise map data pages. It is also impossible in retrieve points from OpenStreetMap - this may eventually be a better approach than creating markers for stops.

There are essentially two methods available when designing a series of related maps: create one data page per map, or create "incomplete" data pages and combine them together. Sydney's public transport maps mostly use the second method. This approach was chosen because it allows components to be reused across multiple maps, easing the maintenance burden and providing greater flexibility.

Routes

[edit]

These maps show the paths of the routes.

Current

[edit]

The naming of these pages is inconsistent. The "Tx Sydney" method is better because pages won't need to be moved unless the line number changes. Older pages continue to use the line name because redirects are yet another thing that doesn't work, meaning there is a risk of breaking things.

These pages deal with bus-only infrastructure. The Bennelong Bridge can be retrieved from OpenStreetMap (Q24034546).
