Commons:Thielska Galleriet
The Thiel Gallery is one of the first public Home Museums in Sweden, opened to the audience in 1926. The building was erected in 1907 for banker and art collector Ernest Thiel, for his family, and for his collection of Nordic art with an emphasis in Symbolism and National Romanticism. As a part of the current digitalization project at the Thiel Gallery "The Home Museum as Digital Heritage", the museum has released Public Domain images on Wikimedia Commons.
The Contribution[edit]
The Thiel Gallery contribution consists of 780 images of the museums paintings, etchings, lithographs, woodcuts and sculptures. The contribution is part of the digitalization project "The Home Museum as Digital Heritage", funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.
