In the 19th century, similar sanctuaries were numerous but nowadays few are those which are still active , with particular care. If you look at the other two images in the category you will see that the statue has been restored. I can't say for certain what people say in non-American dialects of English, but we do not use "source" by itself to mean the source of a river. You should specify what river it's the source of, or if that's unimportant, just call it a "spring". Now, look at the search results for "Lourdes water". Now look at "Lourdes spring". I think I've amply proved my point that "source of Lourdes" is a very unusual phrase in English.
