I think this probably is near-adult L. Marinus, not L. fuscus, looking at the eye, but the back feathers would confirm identity. I think you have to be very knowledgeable to be sure here. To be honest, I don't think a head shot is valuable. A profile photo show everything much better. I defined the bird as Larus marinus, and Charlesjsharp defined it as near-adult L. Marinus (not L. fuscus). We don't know enough.
