| Reason | This guy with the nice hat did not have picture in "Commons". It was a pity, because it is a very interesting person, explorer of Egypt, egyptologist, and above all, civil engineer. He was actually the "chief engineer" of the Suez Canal. After that, he was entitled "Bey", then "Pacha" (see the hat !), and minister of the Public Works in the egyptian government. He is less known than en:Ferdinand de Lesseps, but he is very important too. Picture restored by me, no geocode, it is a home work. -- Jebulon (talk) |
