Used in Global usage
Reason The picture - the only on Commons of a view from Morro Velosa - shows a more than 360° panorama from the Morro Velosa, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. The left border of the panorama is direction NE with the Mirador de Morro Velosa, built by the architect Blanca Cabrera, a relative of of the artist César Manrique, in the style of Manrique. In eastern direction we see the Rosa del Taro (593 m) and the villages Triquivijate and Antigua. Turning towards south we see the Tegú (645 m), the Morro Janana (670 m) (in exactly southern direction), Gran Montaña (708 m) and the valley of Betancuria. Towards west one can see the coast at Ajuy, the mountains Morro Negro (480 m), Morro de la Cruz (676 m), and Morro Alto (417 m). The right part of the panorama shows the North with the villages Valle de Santa Inés, Llanos de la Concepción, and Tefia with the Tao (425 m) and the Cuchillos (625 m) in the background. Finally we are back at the Mirador de Morro Velosa. (For more information see annotations) -- Llez (talk)
