Maybe the word "exterior" could add...  Question What is really special in this church to have its own scope ?--Jebulon (talk) 14:11, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Scope changed from Category:Santissima Trinità (Crema) to Category:Santissima Trinità, Crema (exterior) --MrPanyGoff (talk) 07:54, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please notify previous voters of this change. Remember: "A support vote that was made before a change of scope is not counted unless it is reconfirmed afterwards; an oppose vote is counted unless it is changed or withdrawn".

  • What a question I just can't believe it? If you would like to understand see some of my explanation here. I added the word exterior, just forget to write it the first time. --MrPanyGoff (talk) 09:09, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not any church is worth a Valued Image scope. Cathedral scopes are OK, but for other churches there should be a good reason, like being a pilgrimage place, being really famous, being architecturally exceptional.... Maybe "unbelievable", but truly in the guidelines. Your explanation (opinion) is very interesting, but does not meet the rules if I'm not wrong. When I see an article in WP (for example) without an image to illustrate it, I just try to find some. No need of VIC for that. Then, I just would like to know, please, according to the VIC rules, why we could accept a scope for this church ? Is it for example a pilgrimage place? Why is it really famous ? Why is it architecturally exceptional ? --Jebulon (talk) 22:32, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • it:Crema_(Italia)#Chiese_nel_centro_storico says pregevole edificio barocco, means something like venerable baroque building. --Ikar.us (talk) 15:13, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
      • Not any church is worth a Valued Image scope. I uploaded this image of the small church in Ormos Panagias village - Greece so that, in my view to illustrate what I think is the meaning of a local not so significant temple. The difference with The Santissima Trinità is obvious though it is the only photo of the subject in Commons too. I think that, at least, three interesting articles can use the nominated photo: 1. Article about the church in itself. 2. Article presenting the christian temples in Crema and their architecture and history. As far as I know, each of these churches presents some different style and the Baroque is presented mostly by this church. 3. The photo can be included in an article about the Baroque architecture in the province of Cremona. Furthermore, taking a glance at the current images with VI status - section Religious buildings and shrines, I see there about 10 temples (not only christian ones) that are more or less on the Santissima Trinità level of significance if generally these creations can be judged in this way. Not to mention some images in the other topics whose subjects are of far less importance than this one, imo.--MrPanyGoff (talk) 21:25, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • There is no article about the church, not even a red link. Nor any article that mentions the church other than as one item in a long list. Arguments based on articles are best if supported by articles. However, as always, I consider age enough for relevance and  Support it. --Ikar.us (talk) 21:50, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment I read that this (rococo?) church (architect: Andrea Nono) has two facades ([1]); one can guess this feature but not really see it in this view. However, it may be difficult to find a good angle of view there. --Myrabella (talk) 23:01, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
