Scope | Nominated as the most valued image on Commons within the scope: Skovgaard museum, the pediment, Viborg, Denmark. |
Used in | used as detail of File:Viborg gamle rådhus.JPG |
Reason | Nice detail of a painted pediment at the former city hall of Viborg, Denmark, now an art museum. One can see the royal monogram of king Frederik 4 of Denmark (his sarcophagus can be seen in a previous nomination in these pages), and the 1728 date of the building of this monument. Good quality, acceptable for a special scope IMO due to historical value, geocoded, and in use as detail of a picture of the whole building (needing a reshot...) -- Jebulon (talk) |
