 Comment 1) Please check the link to the category; 2) Is it a mounted specimen? It looks like there is a pin in the thorax. This would also explain the focus stacking with seven pictures without any moving of the butterfly. --Llez (talk) 04:23, 23 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Comment No it's a live specimen! I don't do dead and I don't do captive either. Taken with 100mm macro lens and Helicon Tube fitted with the body on a monopod. Around 5-7 frames a second. The Helcon tube moves the focus point 1-2mm (adjustable) between each shot. The Helicon Soft software then compensates for small movements of the camera. The butterfly doesn't move.
