    •  Comment Pekarangan is typically a garden, where owner grows any edible plants. While some have animals to keep as livestock. In this case, nominated image is considered represent the pekarangan and no other images in the category I see fit for the scope. Thank you for your comment. ··· 🌸 Rachmat04 · 13:00, 3 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support - Appears to me to be best in scope, though I could imagine a photo of a garden with more variety of plants. I don't remember the word being used in Malaysia (maybe "taman dapur" was used? because it was the tiny garden just outside the kitchen), but just outside the back door of the house we rented, there was a papaya tree, a Malaysian tamarind (asam gelugur) tree, long bean plant, ginger, hot red peppers, turmeric, sweet potato, cassava and maybe some other thing I've forgotten about. In the side yard, there were coconut palms; in the side and front, there were lime (limau nipis - very fragrant) trees; and in front, cashew trees (we all know the nut, but it's the young leaves that are the best product of the tree!). Lemongrass was growing wild, and after we snipped all of it for chicken soup, it never grew back during the 2 years we were there. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:38, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
