Reason Xavier Guichard (1870 - 1947), French police superintendant, chief of the Sûreté à la Préfecture de Police (1911 - 1913), later Directeur de la Police Judiciaire (1930 - 1934). Gallant and efficient, he arrested (among others) the members of the Bonnot Gang. In Georges Simenon's novels, he is the chief and the protector of Jules Maigret. He was also an archaeologist, specialist in sacred geography and sacred geometry. New in "Commons", special category created. Alone in scope. Not geocoded as it is a studio work.
