Wiki Loves Africa is a photographic, video and audio contest.
The 2023 theme is Climate and Weather.
Upload your entries from 1st March until 30th April to Wikimedia Commons.
There are prizes to be won for jury selected quality photographs!

Out of the millions of subjects you can read about on Wikipedia, those that relate to Africa have the least coverage. This is due to a number of reasons, but some are linked to the fact that many people do not know that they can have the knowledge of their continent and cultures reflected on Wikipedia by donating their images, videos and audio to Wikimedia.
The richness, diversity and beauty of Africa deserves to be visually celebrated on Wikipedia.
YOU can help to do this. Its super simple and everyone is welcome to participate!

The theme Climate and Weather calls for the submission of visual representations of climate and weather.

- Take photos related to the theme Climate & Weather
- Create a free account or log in on Wikimedia Commons.
- Consult our How to Enter page for useful advice on everything relating to the competition.
- Make sure you follow the rules of the competition (otherwise your image might not be eligible)!
- Upload your photos – from the 1st March 2023 onwards!

Entered images or media must visually capture the theme as it applies to "Africa".
To be considered, entries must be submitted under a free license (read about licenses here).
