Commons:Wiki Loves Classics 2019/semifinalists/step 4

These are a selection of the most voted 94 files of step 3.

The selection includes more images of details, while removing as many duplicates as possible of landscapes. It is de facto the third step of the global round 2, whose target is to select the most voted images.

The main goal is to have a balanced presence of all the categories of the competition with enough choice.

This "pruning" process is also globally in the interest of the uploaders, since too many similar images split their vote at the final round.

Few items were kept with more than one copy, if this is the case the choices are the most voted one together with another image with different features (composition, time of the day, presence of human beings), usually this is done when a big selection is present and selecting just one image could be considered unfair. For images of landscapes a moderate focus on geographical diversity was also applied.
