Now - is someone able to explain to me why we've deleted this image? If we don't have to seek the model's consent, and the copyright holder's consent has been granted through the cc license (and it cannot be revoked), then I think that image should be undeleted. I just wanted to note it here, as the deletion debate is already closed. --Botev (talk) 12:41, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest in a large part because the person who claimed ownership didn't want it here, and franky it looked like a copyvio to me. -mattbuck (Talk) 12:44, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see. So - in case someone wants to revoke the license (which is by itself not permitted), we are looking through all the Commons policies to find a possible reason for deletion, even if we don't care about that reason otherwise? :) --Botev (talk) 13:11, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Licences are non-revocable, but we don't need to be assholes about it. Sometimes it's better to delete something which is easily replaceable. -mattbuck (Talk) 13:39, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So how come only third-party authors can have their pictures deleted? What about users? If I want to have my pictures deleted, will you be an asshole and keep them or will you do as I request? --Botev (talk) 15:12, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Generally it depends on whether the image is useful or not. We try to accommodate people who wish to have their own images removed. -mattbuck (Talk) 15:30, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks. I think I can accept that explaination. However, just to make things clear, that actually means that the reason for deletion as stated in the deletion debate is incorrect. It should have been noted that the image was deleted on author's request because it was easly replaceable and not because of the personality rights issue. --Botev (talk) 16:04, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
