For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Illus Quaschinsky 3.10.1950 Wohnzelle Stalinallee.

Auf der Baustelle in der Stalinallee in Berlin werden bis zum 13.10.1950 die ersten 94 Wohnungen bezugsfertig und an Aktivisten vergeben. Bereits am 1.11. können diese Wohnungen bezogen werden. Auch in den anderen Wohnblöcken gehen die Bauarbeiten schnell vorwärts, so daß insgesamt 376 Wohnungen der Fertigstellung entgegen gehen.
