| Description |
Български: Съпоставка на кората на два близки вида - летен дъб (Quercus robur, ляво) и зимен дъб (Quercus petraea, дясно). English: Bark comparison of two common oak species - Quercus robur (left, winter shot) and Quercus petraea (right, summer shot) reveals that they are quite distinct in key morphological aspects. The selected trees are of almost identical stem diameters. My observations of average (app. 40 to 90 y.o.) trees from those species as follows:
