Площадь: 17,459 тыс. га.

Аршинский заказник располагается в лесной зоне Уральской горной страны.Территория Аршинского заказника характеризуется развитой гидрографической сетью, относящейся к бассейну реки Кама. Все реки относятся к горному типу, маловодны. В западной части Аршинского заказника наиболее распространены смешанные широколиственные темнохвойные леса, в восточной части преобладают сосновые и березовые леса.

На территории Аршинского заказника находится гора Карандаш, имеющая конусообразную форму и сложенная древнейшими для Урала израндитовыми породами, являющимися одними из самых древних на Земле. Гора Карандаш имеет большое научное значение по составу, возрасту и принадлежности израндитов к образованиям океанических островов. На территории Аршинского заказника имеются редкие виды животных и растений, занесенных в Красную книгу Челябинской области.
