| Description | Церковь Преображения Господня в Пурехе. Кирпичный двухэтажный храм, хороший образец каменного зодчества Среднего Поволжья 1-й половины XVII века Заложен во 2-й четверт XVII века князем Д. М. Пожарским, окончен в середине XVII века. Четырехстолпный пятиглавый четверик основного храма с трёхчастным алтарем и вынесенным на восток алтарём нижней церкви первоначально с трёх сторон окружала обходная галерея. С юго-востока к храму примыкал одноглавый четверик придела Макария Желтоводского, с северо-запада шатровая колокольня. В 3-й четверти XVII века сооружён северный Предтеченский придел. При перестройке в 1875—1880 годы северный придел, западная галерея и колокольня разобраны, сооружены новый одноглавый северный Успенский придел, четырехстолпная трапезная и массивная колокольня в три яруса под каркасным шатром. В дьяконнике алтаря главного храма помещался придел Евфимия Суздальского, внизу — тёплый Успенский храм с правым Воскресенским (первоначально — Александра Свирского) приделом, под трапезной был устроен Воздвиженский придел. Закрыт в 1935 году. Реставрировался с 1989 года, в 1991 году возвращен верующим. Вид с северо-востока. |
