Description
English: Shuo Tang (說唐), a Thai translation of the Chinese novel Shuo Tang Yanyi Quan Chuan (說唐演義全傳), written by an unknown author. At the behest of Chaophraya Thiphakorawong (Kham Bunnak), Siamese chancellor for foreign affairs, the translation was carried out by two Chinese men named Ban Kim and Pheng and was edited by Somdet Phra Phutthachan (Chi Inthasaro), high priest of Wat Prayurawongsawat. The translation was carried out in the year 2398 BE (1855/56 CE) and was first printed by Doctor Smith's Printing House in the year 2421 BE (1878/79 CE).
