圣彼得堡博格照相馆 / 1906

作品简介 为胡惟德出任清朝出使俄国钦差大臣期间，在圣彼得堡伯博格照相馆拍摄的官服站像。卡纸正面写有胡惟德题跋：“舜臣襟兄大人雅鉴，丙午闰下弟胡惟德自俄都寄赠。”照片原底晒印，清晰度极佳，品相完美，卡纸下方还带有胡惟德的英文签名。是极为难得的近代历史人物的签名肖像，为国家博物馆及藏品。上海图书馆藏有一张同样画面的胡惟德书赠唐绍仪签名照。但其卡纸有破损，照相馆标志不存。胡惟德（1863-1933），字馨吾，浙江吴兴人。1888年以算学中举人，上海广方言馆毕业，清末历任驻俄使馆参赞，1904年使俄钦差大臣、外务部右丞，1908年使日钦差大臣，1910年外务部大臣，1911年清末袁世凯内阁外务部副大使，1912年民国唐绍仪内阁任外交次长，历任北洋政府驻法公使兼驻西班牙、葡萄牙公使、驻法国公使、1920-25年驻日公使、1922年外交部太平洋会议善后委员会理事、1926年北洋政府外交总长兼关税特别会议全权代表。1927年1月又任内务总长，11月北洋政府平政院院长高级文官惩戒委员会委员长，1918-1928年四次连任常设仲裁法院仲裁员等职，1933年病逝于北平。中国近代著名外交家，曾多次担任驻外使节，后任民国外交总长兼代国务总理，参与并见证许多重大外交事件，是书写晚清与民国外交史不可或缺的人物。其子胡世泽也是著名的中华民国外交官，是首位中国籍联合国副秘书长。
