Notes | This is probably a French 16c or 17c binding, as it has a smooth spine with leafy sprays tooled in gold. At the tail end of the spine there is a small coat of arms? with 3 crescent moons interwoven, sometimes associated with Diane de Poitiers. C.34.f.44, C.7.a.12, G3293 also have the arms of Gulston but on spine. | |||
