Description
English: Cast copper alloy one-piece Colchester brooch. Nauheim derivative. Roman. 1st century AD. Well preserved with a light green/turquoise patina. The tip of the pin is missing. The pin is circular in section. The wire is turned 4 times to form the spring. The wire is flattened and widened to for the bow, sub-rectangular in section. The catchplate is rectangular and delicate, slightly damaged.
