Deutsch: Museumsbahn in Shantytown. Der Shantytown Heritage Park ist eine als Freilichtmuseum nachgebaut Pionierstadt, wie sie anlässlich des Goldrausches der 1860er Jahre entstanden ist. Shantytown liegt etwa 10 Kilometer südlich von Greymouth in Region West Coast auf der Südinsel von Neuseeland. Die Lok L508 wurde im Jahre 1877 bei der Firma Avonside Engine Co. in Großbritannien gebaut.
Simple English: Train in Shantytown. The Shantytown Heritage Park is a pioneer town rebuilt as an open-air museum, as it was created on the occasion of the gold rush of the 1860s. Shantytown is located about 10 kilometers south of Greymouth in the West Coast region of the South Island of New Zealand. The locomotive L508 was built in 1877 at the company Avonside Engine Co. in the UK.
