Description
Deutsch: Teil der Benediktinerabtei in Engelberg, Kanton Obwalden, Schweiz. Das Kloster wurde im Jahre 1120 gegründet. Die heutigen Gebäude entstanden nach einem Brand des Klosters im Jahre 1729. Im Hintergrund die Berge Große Spannort (3.198 Meter ü. M.), Kleiner Spannort (3.120 Meter ü. M.), Bärenzahn (2.910 Meter ü. M.) und der Grassengrat (2.946 Meter ü. M.)
English: Part of the Benedictine Abbey in Engelberg, Canton Obwalden, Switzerland. The monastery was founded in 1120. The current buildings were built after a fire in the monastery in 1729. In the background the mountains Große Spannort (3,198 meters above sea level), Kleiner Spannort (3,120 meters above sea level), Bärenzahn (2,910 meters above sea level) and the Grassengrat (2,946 meters above sea level).
