| Description |
English: BR 'SHOCBAR HIGH' 12 ton, 5-plank, fitted, open goods wagon with shock absorbers (indicated by the three white stripes) and tarpaulin bar (though now removed) No.B725540, Diagram 1/056, Lot 3082 built by BR (Derby) in 1958 at Ropley, Mid Hants Railway (‘the Watercress Line’), 30 April 2021. This wagon was used by MoD as No.AD2. BR (Derby) built 850 of these fitted wagons in 1958-59. They have wooden sides and corrugated steel ends. In 1950-59 there many diagrams were produced comprising many thousands of shock absorbing, high sided, 12/13 ton open wagons with or without tarpaulin bars and with only minor differences between diagrams. |
