Summary[edit]

Description Far North Line, June 1983. Approaching Georgemas Junction is the portion from Wick which will join up with one from Thurso. This was obviously labour intensive requiring extra staff and an additional loco at the north end of the line. But this was British Rail days! Nowadays, class 158 DMUs on the Far North Line work the branch out and back to Thurso before continuing on to Wick.
