Description
English: Post Medieval cast copper alloy end cap or stop from a knife. The stop seems to be the form of a "claw" hammer. There is a short groove between the claws. There is a circumferential groove around the base of the stop and another groove running longitudinally up both sides of the stop and over the top, between the claw and hammer elements. On the underside is a rectangular slot filled with iron which is the remains of the missing tang.
