0897E5 annular buckle
Description
English: Medieval or early post Medieval copper alloy annular buckle, 53mm in diameter and 2mm thick. The buckle is in a fair condition with a quarter of its edge missing and has a brown patina. The buckle consists of a circular frame, 5mm wide, which is bevelled on both upper edges. The strap bar is 3mm wide and is also bevelled. There are no signs of any decoration. The buckle is similar to No. 251 in Whitehead, R. 'Buckles 1250-1800'
