Description
Français : Face sud de l'Arc de Constantin inauguré en 315 commémorant la victoire du pont Milvius où Constantin a battu son rival Maxence, composé de fragments prélevés sur des monuments plus anciens avec notamment les statues des prisonniers Daces provenant du forum de Trajan, les médaillons illustrant des scènes de chasse et de sacrifice datant de l'époque d'Hadrien, les panneaux rectangulaires faisant partie d'un monument consacré à Marc-Aurèle dont le visage a été modifié et enfin les frises sous les médaillons de l'époque de Constantin.
English: South face of the Arch of Constantine inaugurated in 315 commemorating the victory of the Milvian Bridge where Constantine defeated his rival Maxentius, composed of fragments taken from the oldest monuments including the statues of Dacian prisoners from the Forum of Trajan, tondi illustrating scenes of hunting and sacrifice dating from the time of Hadrian, the rectangular panels are part of a monument dedicated to Marcus Aurelius, whose face was changed and finally the friezes in the medallions from the time of Constantine.
Italiano: Parete sud dell'Arco di Costantino inaugurato nel 315 per commemorare la vittoria di Ponte Milvio, dove Costantino sconfisse il rivale Massenzio, composte di frammenti tratti dai più antichi monumenti tra cui le statue di Daci prigionieri dal Foro di Traiano, tondi che illustrano scene di caccia e di sacrifici, risalente al tempo di Adriano, i pannelli rettangolari sono parte di un monumento dedicato a Marco Aurelio, il cui volto è stato cambiato ed infine i fregi nei medaglioni dal tempo di Costantino.
