10: medieval ceramic vessel shard
Description
English: A damaged rim fragment from a medieval ceramic vessel. It is 44.56mm long, 27.89mm wide and the rim is 8.05mm thick. It weighs 11.94g. The sherd is very abraded. The fabric is buff with an orange pink outer and inner surface, fading to grey on the inside. It has sparse and small light coloured angular glassy inclusions (quartz?) with some red and grey irregular particles (grog?). The inclusions are well sorted. It is soft and the breaks are abraded.
