Description
English: Asymmetrical double looped buckle, length 57mm, width 42mm, thickness 3mm, weight 14.44g. Central narrowed strap bar with fleur-de-lis moulding at either end, there is iron corrosion on the mid-section which is all that remains of the pin. One of the loops are oval, 29mm by 32mm with a moulded fleur-de-lis on the centre of the forward edge. On the other side is rectangular with a moulded knop on each outside.

The artefact is in a poor condition with the whole of the original surface corroded away leaving a light brown layer, there is light green encrustation on one side.

This artefact dates to the 17th century.
