17th 18th or 19th century Square belt buckle
Description
English: An iron buckle frame dating from the post medieval period. The frame is square and the pin is wrapped round the bar. It has corroded in the open position. The plate is missing. It has a length of 62.2mm and a width of 35.9mm. It weighs 18.71g. A similar example is NARC-01FC77. Buckles of this design are usually dated to the 17th, 18th or 19th century.
