| Description |
Nederlands: Uitbreidingplan voor de binnenstad van Van Gendt uit 1872.Dit plan omvatte o.a. "Aan de oostzijde van de stad, ter hoogte van de Oostsingel (nu Burgemeester van Rijnsingel), ontstond een spoorwegemplacement. Aan de noordzijde van de stad, nabij de Goltziusstraat en de Puteanusstraat ontstond een nieuwe stadswijk met een regelmatige bouwblokstructuur. Hier kwamen voornamelijk middenstandswoningen en belangrijke openbare gebouwen, waaronder de Rijks HBS, het kantongerecht en een badhuis. Ten noorden daarvan, op de plek van het voormalige fort Ginkel, werd een villapark aangelegd in Engelse landschapstijl met ruim opgezette kavels en veel groen." |
