Description
English: Amoskeag horse-drawn hose carriage manufactured in the 1890s by the Manchester Locomotive Works, Manchester N.H.
The measures were:
Height over all, . 6 ft. 8 in.
Length over all, . 17 ft. 6 in.
Width over all, .. 6 ft.
Diameter of hose reel, . 3 ft. 8.in.
Length of hose reel, . 2 ft. 7 in.
Capacity of reel 2 1/2" standard hose, . 800 ft. to 1,000 ft.
Weight, without supplies, 1,750lbs.
The following equipment are usually furnished with horse draft hose carriages: Four hand lanterns, one fire axe, one crowbar, two reel cranks, one axle nut wrench
